CHAMPAGNE: a sparkling way to celebrate
To explore the Champagne region and its vineyards, a good idea is to follow the well-signed tourist trail (Route Touristique de Champagne) that winds through the middle of the vineyards, past villages perched on the sides of jagged slopes. Just a quarter of an hour outside Reims, these villages lie in the heart of the prestigious vineyards. Stop for a while to visit a grower or a champagne House to discover the secrets of their production. You will have also the opportunity to discover the UNESCO world heritage in Reims.

Discover the Champagne vineyards. Leave your hotel in Paris around 8.00 am. Meet a wine grower Traditional French lunch – Visit of the Cathedral of Reims & of a prestigious champagne cellar. Two champagne wine tasting sessions. Departure from your hotel in Paris at around 8 am: drinks, croissants, newspapers offered on board. Discover the Champagne vineyard around Reims. Once in the vineyard, the guide will explain the Champagne soil, the three main grape varieties, the vines throughout the seasons from pruning in winter to ripening & harvest in autumn. Then visit at a wine grower followed by a wine tasting session.
Traditional french lunch will be served in a restaurant. Then, visit of the Reims Cathedral, a gothic masterpiece where the kings of France were crowned. Guided tour of one of the most famous champagne houses in Reims and itsunderground chalk cellar (Taittinger, Veuve Cliquot, Ruinart…) to discover step by step technical wine making “from grape to champagne” through pressing, first fermentation, blending, bottling, second fermentation, remuage, disgorgement, corking and finally labelling. A glass of champagne will be served at the end of this tour. Free time to discover the store and buy champagne. Arrival in Paris approx. 08.00 pm
2 days trip – by coach – Combine Seminar/visits/relax
1 night accomodation in a Deluxe property at Épernay. 1st day: Leave Paris by coach or minivan and discover the sloping landscape of Champagne with stop in Reims and visit the cathedral. Proceed to Epernay. Lunch at the hotel La Briqueterie ****located in the Champagne vineyards built on the site of a former bricks factory.Half day meeting in a private room of the hotel. Gastronomic dinner at the hotel.
2nd day: Morning : dedicated to activities : Spa & wellness center at the hotel; Golfing – 18 holes course nearby the hotel; Oenologist workshop : create your own vintage champagne. Lunch at the hotel. Return to Paris.
